ITT: Toi Goldmine, Joren Waterfall & Niji no Sato

Take a drive with us along the breathtaking coastline west of the Izu Peninsula. Our first stop is the Toi Gold Mine opened in 1577. The exhibitions provide a realistic glimpse into the lives of miners and their environmental surroundings. Next, you’ll see the famous Joren Falls which is situated among deep forests, and drops from basalt cliffs 25m high and 7m wide. Downstream from the plunge pool is the Amagi international trout fishing site. Along the valley are wasabi fields, a specialty of Amagi. Our final stop is at Niji No Sato (Rainbow Village) where you’ll see replica villages from Great Britain and Canada, a beautifully landscaped Japanese Garden, and traditional Japanese craft making. Admissions to scheduled places are included.
