You will hike the famous Kintoki Mountain trails near Hakone. The trails are steeped in legend and named after the legendary Japanese children`s tale, Kintaro. Kintaro is the story of a boy raised in the mountains with animals as friends. There are tales of him wrestling bears, running with deer, and chopping trees with his ever present axe. Kintaro was said to be raised in this area, and as you ascend the mountain you will pass a shrine dedicated to his spirit. This is an intermediate level 4 to 5-hour hike.
Please wear comfortable shoes with good tread and suitable clothing for hiking. Remember to bring a packed lunch. This hiking tour is limited to children six and older due to the rugged terrain and physical requirements. Tour will be cancelled due to inclement weather on short notice.
