Sat, Jul 4: Fuji Sightseeing at West Lake Sai

Cost & Ages: $40 (12 & up) | $35 (6-11) | $30 (5) | $32 (E1-E5)

Depart: 0700 | Return: 1900

First, we visit Fuji Fugaku Windcave and Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave for a cool underground adventure. Next, we stop at Narusawa Roadside Station for lunch. The day closes at Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba — a beautifully preserved village of traditional thatched-roof houses set along the shore of Lake Saiko, with Mt. Fuji framing the backdrop.

The minimum age for the Ice Cave is 5 years; therefore, the minimum age for this tour is 5 years. Admissions to all scheduled places are included.

Sun, Jul 5: Okutama White Water Rafting

Gear up for a thrilling rafting trip on the Okutama River. Due to rafting company regulations, the minimum age for this tour is 6 years. One parent or guardian is required for every two children.

Bring a bath towel and a change of clothes. Also consider wearing a bathing suit and river shoes (or rent them from a shop).

Sat, Jul 11: Nikko Sightseeing

Visit three stunning waterfalls: the 110-meter-high Yudaki Falls with its close-up viewing platform; Kegon Waterfall, nearly 100 meters tall and ranked among Japan’s three most beautiful falls; and Ryuzu Cascade — whose name means “dragon head waterfall” in Japanese, earned by the shape of its tumbling flow. At Toshogu Shrine, look for the famous carving of the “hear no evil, speak no evil, see no Three Monkeys evil” three monkeys.

Due to the long distance of this tour, it is not recommended for young children. Admissions to all scheduled places are included.

Sun, Jul 12: Peach Picking & Shosenkyo Gorge Trekking

Shirane in Yamanashi Prefecture is one of the few places in the Kanto Plain where peach picking is available. Pick and eat as many peaches as you can in 60 minutes — additional peaches are available for purchase at the orchard. Next, we visit Kanazakura Shrine at Shosenkyo Gorge, home to a sacred collection of large crystal balls reflecting Yamanashi’s fame for crystals. We close the day with a leisurely 90-minute walk through the gorge.

We recommend bringing a small towel to wash your hands after handling peaches. Admissions to all scheduled places are included. Bring rain gear.

Sat, Jul 18: Peach Picking & Wind Chime Festival at Houtokuji Temple

Harada Farm in the city of Numata, Gunma Prefecture, is one of the few spots in the Kanto Plain offering peach picking. Help yourself to as many peaches as you can eat in 30 minutes — additional peaches are available for purchase. Afterward, we head to the Wind Chime Festival at Houtokuji Temple.

We recommend bringing a small towel to wash your hands after handling peaches. Admissions to all scheduled places are included.

Sun, Jul 19: Moriya Beach

The beaches on the east side of Boso Peninsula face the Pacific Ocean. On a clear day the west side offers views of Mt. Fuji in the distance.

Bring a bath towel and a change of clothes, a beach mat, and your own float. Wear a bathing suit and rash guard (tattoo cover).

Sat, Jul 25: Mt. Fuji Summit Climb

Cost: $100 (6 & up) | $80 (E1-E5)

Depart Atsugi: 0300 | Depart Mt. Fuji: 1900 | Return: 2200

Mt. Fuji stands 3,776 meters (12,389 feet) high and will push your ability to climb at altitude to the limit. We start at Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station. Price includes bus transportation, tour guide service, and a Mt. Fuji Climber Coin & T-shirt. Due to high altitude and demanding trail conditions, this tour is restricted to ages 6 and older. In the event of inclement weather, the tour will be cancelled.

Climbers must complete the Mt. Fuji Safety Brief before signing up. A ¥1,000 donation will be collected at the beginning of the climb. Not recommended for young children. SIGN-UP IS IN PERSON ONLY.

*Advanced: Trails are 90% up and down hill with rugged and slippery terrain, with a total distance of 6 to 10 miles. Mt. Fuji falls in this category due to its high elevation.

Sun, Jul 26: Kadokawa Museum & Ginza Free Time

Fun for the whole family! The Kadokawa Culture Museum is a groundbreaking kind of museum built on the unique concept of blending books, art, and natural history into a single, immersive experience. Afterward, enjoy plenty of free time to browse shops and sample sweets in Ginza.

Sat, Jun 6: Iris Festival, Sake Brewery & Kashima-Jingu

At Itako Botanical Garden Iris Festival in Ibaraki, enjoy a half-hour boat ride drifting through over a million iris blooms spanning more than 400 different species. Afterward, we head to Aiyu Sake Brewery to see how sake is made, then close out the day with a visit to the beautiful Kashima-Jingu Shrine.

Admission fees are included. Due to age restrictions at the brewery, the minimum age to enter is 6 years old.

Sun, Jun 7: Washing Making Experience

Try your hand at making Washi, the traditional Japanese paper, and decorate it however you like. Next, head to the orchard and pick as many cherries as you can eat in 30 minutes — with additional cherries available for purchase. Lastly, we will visit Chateau Katsunuma, a direct sales store featuring free wine tasting.

Washi making is not included for ages 0-2. Bring rain gear.

Sat, Jun 13: Irozaki Boat Cruise & Hydrangea Festival

Set sail on an Irozaki Boat Cruise off the dramatic coast of Izu Peninsula, then take in the vibrant colors of the Hydrangea Festival at Shimoda Park.

Admissions to all scheduled locations are included. If the cruise is canceled due to inclement weather, we will visit Shimoda Acquarium instead.

Sun, Jun 14: Amabiki Kannon & Hydrangea Forest Temple

We will begin at Amabiki Kannon Temple. The hydrangeas in full bloom across the vast grounds of the temple on the hillside are truly a must-see. The walk to the temple is about 145 meters. We’ll then stop at Ami Outlet Mall for lunch before closing the day at Nihonmatsuji Temple, known as the Hydrangea Forest.

Sat, Jun 20: Pottery Making Experience & Shizuoka Sengen Shrine

Fun for the whole family! Get hands-on at Shizuoka Pottery and create your own handmade piece to take home. After lunch at Road Station Soratto, we visit Shizuoka Sengen Shrine — a major religious complex in Shizuoka City often called the “Nikko of the Tokai Region” for its ornate, brilliantly lacquered architecture.

Admission tickets are included. Please trim your nails before the tour. Allow approximately two months for baking and shipping of your pottery.Pottery making is not included in the (0–2 yrs) price.

Explore the natural beauty of Mt. Tsukuba, where on a clear day you can take in sweeping views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding mountain ranges stretching into the distance.

This hiking trail features rugged terrain with high, uneven steps that can be demanding on the knees.*Advanced: Trails are 90% uphill/downhill with rugged and slippery terrain. Total distance: 6–10 miles. Mt. Fuji falls into this category due to its high elevation.

Try your hand at the art of glass blowing and explore the variety of activities at Hakone Gora Park. We’ll also stop at Togen-dai Port for lunch before boarding a cruise on Lake Ashi to take in views of Mt. Fuji and the iconic Torii Gate of Hakone Shrine.

Due to minimum age requirements at the glass blowing craft shop, the minimum age for this tour is 6 years. Glass blowing is not included in the price for ages 0–5. Allow approximately one week for shipping of your finished glass piece.

Daycation Rewards Milestones

  • 1,000 points = 20% off any tour
  • 2,000 points = 40% off any tour
  • 3,000 points = 60% off any tour
  • 4,000 points = 80% off any tour
  • 5,000 points = FREE TOUR

Tour Cancellation Policy

Written documentation must be presented for a refund, without exception. Your receipt is required to issue a refund.

One-Day Tours – If you cancel 6 business days prior to your scheduled tour, no charge will be assessed. If you cancel 1-5 business days prior, you will be charged 50% of the total price of the tour. If you cancel on the date of the tour or seek a refund past the date of the tour, no refunds will be given. Business days exclude weekends and U.S. holidays.

Overnight Tours – If you cancel 11 business days prior to your scheduled tour, no charge will be assessed. If you cancel 7-10 business days prior, you will be charged the deposit of the tour. If you cancel 6 business days prior, or on the date of the tour, or seek a refund past the date of the tour, no refund will be given, except in the event of valid duty commitment

Cancellation cannot be accepted for tours that require admission tickets in advance. Refunds cannot be made after acceptance of reservations for such events (i.e. sumo tournaments, kabuki performances, baseball games, and concerts.) Please inquire at the Tours office for the full cancellation/refunds policy.
