NAF Atsugi Bon Odori 2022

"Obon" or just "Bon" is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's ancestors. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon Odori.
 
NAF Atsugi is opening it's gates for the first time since 2019 to its Japanese neighbors to celebrate and share in this wonderful cultural experience.

  • 1400: Gates OPEN to Public
  • 1430-1500 Clown Rockets
  • 1515-1600: JR and Friends Band
  • 1615-1645: Clown Rockets
  • 1700-1730: JR and Friends Band
  • 1730-1745: Taiko Kids 
  • 1745-1750: National Anthems/Opening Remarks
  • 1750-1800: Local Mascots and JMSDF Mascots
  • 1800-1930: Bon Odori
  • 1940-2015: JMSDF Awa Odori and Fireworks Display
