CYP NEWS

Due to administrative delays, Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi is currently experiencing reduced manning in some of our Child and Youth Programs (CYP).

As a result, there will temporarily be reduced capacity and services for the Child Development Center (CDC) and Summer Camps. Currently, the CDC is only offering Priority 1A and 1B for the full-time enrollment.

For Priority 1C and lower, new applicants can submit a request through MilitaryChildCare.Com and put their child on a waiting list. For more information about Priority categories, please read the attached Military Family Types and DoD Priority chart here

Hourly care is currently available for families between 0900-1500. Summer Camp for School Age Care (SAC) will be operating on a space available basis for families based on the Military Family Types and DoD Priority chart. If you have a special request outside of the planned hourly schedule, or any questions about the CDC or Summer Camp, please contact the CYP front desk at DSN: 264-3524.

NAF Atsugi understands how disruptive changes in childcare can be to the daily life of our military families and the Navy's war fighting ability as a whole. Our top priority is ensuring military families have reliable, high-quality childcare and we are working diligently to minimize program disruptions as much as possible and prioritize essential services.
